Lariviere v. Thaw, No. 100627/99, (N.Y. Sup. Ct. June 26, 2000).

 

Précis

The Plaintiff Lariviere sought authentication of his alleged Jackson Pollock painting through The Pollock-Krasner Authentication Board.  Despite signing a hold harmless agreement, Lariviere brought suit against the Board upon learning of its decision that the painting was not an authentic Pollock.
